Photography allows me to act on my intuition and document a sense of place.
When I travel or go exploring, I use my camera like a sketchpad; capturing events, places, and cultures on film. Highlighting details of daily life and the natural beauty is what I try to achieve when visiting a new place.
My goal is to use natural light to reveal essential qualities in my subject and portray its place within the environment. I am drawn to the details; focusing on vignettes rather than vistas.
My photography has become a means not only to document a place, but to tell a story.
With my work, I hope to give the viewer, if only for a moment, the opportunity to step into another world.
